Raven About The Parks is written by Scott and Tiff Sink from Cheyenne, Wyoming. Tiff is a Registered Dietitian who works in Performance Improvement at the local hospital and Scott is a freelance travel writer and graphic designer with a Ph.D. in Forest Ecology. We met in high school and married in 2009. We both enjoy hiking, backpacking, kayaking, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, and photography, which we love to share to inspire other travelers. Between the two of us, we have lived in 10 states: Alaska, Arizona, Arkansas, California, Colorado, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Tennessee, and Wyoming. Altogether we earned seven college degrees and we strongly believe in the importance of lifelong learning.
We have realized that there are not many bloggers like us that do not have internet access at home nor a smartphone. Scott updates our blog once a week when he volunteers at the library. We apologize if we don’t respond to your questions and comments immediately, but we’ll definitely get to them.
We love the National Parks in the U.S.A.! In 2016, we dedicated the entire year to travel, visiting all 50 states and over 200 National Park Service (NPS) sites to celebrate their centennial. You can see all the places we went in 2016 on our other website: www.pretirement2016.com
In 2019, we made it to all five NPS sites in the U.S. Virgin Islands and rafted the Green River through Dinosaur National Monument. In September, we took a trip through Massachusetts and New York to visit 29 new NPS units. Since 2020, we focused on enjoying the open spaces of our National Forests, which is the subject of our new book.
