Raven About The Parks is written by Scott Sink, a freelance travel writer and graphic designer with a Ph.D. in Forest Ecology.  He enjoys hiking, backpacking, kayaking, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, and photography. He has visited all 50 states at least three times and has lived in seven states: Alaska, Arizona, California, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, and Wyoming. He often travels with Mary, his mother, or Tiff, his wife of 15 years. Click here to read more about why we travel.

Scott loves the public lands of the U.S.A.!  In 2016, Scott and Tiff dedicated the entire year to travel, visiting all 50 states and over 200 National Park Service (NPS) sites to celebrate the agency’s centennial.  In 2020-21, Scott focused on enjoying the open spaces of our National Forests, which is the subject of his second guidebook.
